We run a full-property survey, then install humane exclusion—spikes, netting, mesh, and other deterrents—on the footprint named in your quote. Your written agreement always prevails.
National guarantees hub · Bird proofing guarantee summary · Bird proofing service · Bird identification
Educational guides: feral pigeon (Columba livia) · house sparrow (Passer domesticus) · Indian myna (Acridotheres tristis) · Egyptian goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca) · Hadeda ibis (Bostrychia hagedash).

We map roosting, nesting, and fouling pressure: gutters, eaves, solar arrays, signage voids, and loading bays. Skipped zones stay unprotected—scope lists each treated line on the quote.
Spikes, nets, mesh, sprung wires, and access hatches are chosen per species and substrate. Materials and fixings are specified for weather and height work; maintenance intervals may be listed for commercial sites.
Where you book an ad hoc birdproofing visit, we inspect the property for bird entry points—including areas around chimneys, vents, soffits, fascias, and gutter lines—then seal identified openings using stainless steel or galvanized mesh wool and other effective exclusion methods named on your quote.
These visits address immediate intrusion pressure on the routes we can reach within the booked time window. They are not a substitute for full-structure birdproofing: open roofs and hidden gaps mean we cannot promise that every potential entry is found or closed in one session, and birds may later exploit new openings. Full programmes may require construction-led sealing; Verminator can coordinate with Buildvision (our Cape Town construction subsidiary) or other partners when your quote says so.
We keep communication clear while on site and provide documentation, including photographs, covering what we found and any future proofing considerations. Fees, hours, fixed-window pricing, and how any overrun is agreed are set out in your written quote—not generalized on this page.
Nest removal and guano clean-up may be scheduled before or with proofing when permitted. Blocked drainage and insulation damage are documented; some clean-up scopes need specialist partners named separately.
Pigeons, sparrows, mynas, and geese behave differently; some native species are protected. Where permits or seasonal restrictions apply, methodology and warranty follow that paperwork—not the standard domestic proofing summary.
When bird lice pressure is quoted with nest remediation, see how we treat lice and bird lice treatment for parasite-specific scope.
We confirm proofing is holding after installation and advise on attractants (feeders, spillage, water). Extra visits outside the quote are quoted separately.
Published summary: /pests/birds/guarantee.
Neighbouring ledges, refused maintenance access, and storm or trade damage after handover can undermine outcomes. Cover follows the installation footprint named in your paperwork.
Working at height, guano, and public walkways need controls. General guidance: pest control safety.
When quoted, it is a time-bounded visit to inspect and seal priority bird entry points—often roofline features such as chimneys, vents, soffits, and fascias—using stainless steel or galvanized mesh wool and compatible methods, with photo documentation. It does not promise finding and closing every potential gap on a whole building in one session; full structural programmes or construction partners are named on your quote when needed.
Where law, access, and season allow, we clear nests and debris then proof so birds cannot rebuild in the same spot. Protected species may require permits or different handling—your quote names what applies.
Bird lice often track from abandoned nests. We may coordinate premises treatment and proofing—parasite scope may reference /pests/lice when purchased separately.
Standard agreed bird proofing programme: six months written guarantee from completion on the quoted installation footprint—typically named ledges, gutters, vents, solar surrounds, or mesh runs on your paperwork—when we sell it as a Verminator bird proofing agreement. Eligible warranty callbacks address birds reoccupying or breaching those proofed zones during the window when the installation and materials remain as installed per contract. Protected species, heritage, or permit-led interventions, when separately quoted, follow their own schedules and legal constraints—not the same summary as standard pigeon or myna exclusion on domestic proofing. We do not warrant outcomes for roosting on adjacent buildings you did not purchase in the quote, refused access for maintenance, or new damage from storms and third-party trades outside the agreement. Bird lice inside premises often pairs with nest proofing—methodology and parasite guarantees may reference /pests/lice when that scope is purchased. Commercial and industrial sites may differ—your quote prevails. Callbacks follow your written agreement when birds reoccupy or breach quoted proofed zones during the window.
Birds seek shelter; we cannot control neighbouring erven outside your purchased scope. We document roofline and elevation limits on the quote.
