Nuisance birds nest and roost on gutters, vents, ledges, and solar panels. Droppings foul surfaces and damage paint and stonework. Verminator uses humane proofing—spikes, netting, and mesh—to exclude birds across the whole property, not just one nest site.
Signs include birds nesting in gutters, vents, or under eaves; droppings on sills, cars, or walkways; noise and feathers near roosts; blocked gutters from nests; and damage to roofing, insulation, or solar panels. Pigeons, starlings, and sparrows are common nuisance species on buildings.
Birds seek shelter, nesting cavities, and stable ledges. Urban and suburban buildings offer gutters, signage, roof voids, and food sources. Removing a nest without proofing leaves the site attractive, so birds rebuild. Seasonal breeding increases pressure on the same spots year after year.
Droppings corrode paintwork, metal, and stonework and can harbour pathogens. Accumulated fouling creates slip hazards on walkways and vehicles. Nests block drainage, invite moisture damage, and can affect solar panels and ventilation. Established roosts support growing populations if not excluded.
We survey the full property for roosting and nesting sites, then recommend humane exclusion—spikes, netting, mesh, or other deterrents matched to each location. Where allowed we clear nests and debris and install proofing so birds cannot land or re-nest. We advise on maintenance and reducing attractants.
